Background

I have been a resident of Hampstead since 1989. My husband Will and I raised our daughters in the Hampstead public schools, where I was a frequent volunteer in programs like Girls on the Run, Wee Deliver, the multicultural celebrations, and inauguration trips to DC. I was a volunteer and then call EMT on the Hampstead Fire Department for decades. 

I am serving my sixth year as a member of the Hampstead Select Board and am liaison to the Police Department and Budget Committee.

​I also serve as a trustee of the Alexander Eastman Foundation (AEF) a $12M endowment that gives grants to local agencies supporting health and wellness in our area. I have previously served on the boards of the YWCA NH, the Greater Derry Oral Health Collaborative, the Partnership for Drug Free NH and Makin' It Happen, a regional substance misuse prevention agency.

I hold a Master's degree in Public Health and Bachelors' degrees in English and History. I've had a rewarding career as a public health educator for the past 30 years at the federal, state and regional level. If you've had children in a NH middle school or high school since 2015, I've probably talked with them about vaping. If you know a first responder, they've likely heard me speak on pediatric trauma care, children with special healthcare needs, substance use disorder, suicide prevention, or responding to sexual or domestic violence, or child or elder abuse. I'd prefer to talk about travel, but I haven't found a paying opportunity.
